Did You Miss Me?

I figured I should update since it's been a month. A lot has happened, and I don't have time to describe much of it. Here's a very brief synopsis:
- The latter part of ICU was brutally busy and brought out the ugly in everybody, including me. I don't feel like I learned a whole lot. Needless to say, I'm glad to be done with that.
- I then went to the wonderful world of Dermatology, where a busy day consisted of 4 appointments and a few consults. A day never passed without several bouts of side-splitting laughter and I felt like I learned a lot.
- In the middle of my Derm rotation I got to visit Ryan and go see "Wicked!" for my birthday present. It was a wonderful time and I appreciated the long weekend. Not even my car's attempts to boil over could ruin the weekend. (Yay for a cheap new coolant reservoir and cap being all that was needed to fix it.)
- I reluctantly left the happy Dermoids and entered the Equine Medicine world. Thus far I am unimpressed, as we've had ZERO appointment. Plus I've been sick (stupid allergies/sinuses). I'm feeling very out of my element and am frustrated with my inability to read the equine clinicians' minds... (They wander off and leave us clueless for hours on end. Communication is at a minimum with these people.) Hopefully I'll do better once I'm completely over my sinus bug.
- My roomie and I get along great! She's the kind of Christian, laid-back, uplifting roomie I've always wanted! I just wish we had more time to actually hang out together. Darn school! The furry roomies (including the bunny, who is shedding terribly right now) have each gotten on my nerves in some way or another at various points, but generally we all get along nicely.

Well, I should go be productive... I need to work on my Grand Rounds presentation - I speak on Oct. 19th and I didn't even pick a topic until about a week ago. Here's hoping it works out!
